Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has spoken openly about not playing in the match on the second day of the Sydney Test against Australia. Rohit has won the hearts of millions of Indian fans with his words. He said that he decided not to play the Sydney Test in the interest of the team because he was not scoring runs with his bat. He believed that in his place a player whose bat was good should get a chance.
The next day after the lunch break, the Star Sports host asked him whether he had been released from the test or was out of it. On this he said that none of this is true. He jokingly clarified that there was no such thing and he decided to field the in-form player. He discussed this with head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, where both supported his decision.
