Aditi Govitrikar a name that once ruled the modelling and entertainment industry in 1990s is a living example of beauty intellect and resilience. Born and bought up in Maharashtra she completed her MBBS degree before stepping into world of glitz and glamour. Govitrikar pursued modelling after completing her MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1996 she entered the Gladrags Megamodel Contest and won it making her entry into showbiz. She appeared in various advertisements like Ponds Kaya Skin Clinic and Coca-Cola with Hrithik Roshan. Aditi secured the prestigious title of Miss World in 2001 as Indias first-ever recipient. Following that she made her Bollywood debut in 2001 with Soch but her screen presence was first noticed in 16 December. During her medical college days she fell in love with her senior Muffazal Lakdawala. The couple dated each other for seven years and decided to get married despite families resistance as they belonged to different religions. In 1999 they got married under both civil and Muslim law. Aditi converted to Islam and adopted the name Sara Lakdawala. Their union was blessed with two children and appeared harmonious for several years. Following the birth of their second child their marriage faced increasing turbulence due to the demands of their respective careers. Reports of frequent disputes and misunderstandings followed due to which the couple decided to part ways in 2008. Despite her struggles Aditi continues to remain as an inspiring figure. She inspires countless individuals with her grace and resilience. The actress was last seen in Netflixs Mismatched Season 3 playing the role of Rohit Sarafs mother.
