Mukesh Ambani the Chairman of Reliance Industries and one of the world’s richest individuals owns Antilia one of the most expensive private residences globally. Situated in Mumbai’s posh Altamount Road on Cumbala Hill this iconic 27-storey mansion stands as a symbol of architectural marvel. Spanning over 4532 square meters Antilia is valued at an estimated Rs 15000 crore. Designed by Chicago-based architects Perkins and Will the construction of this luxury residence took place between 2006 and 2010. The towering structure is equipped with a range of extravagant amenities including A fully equipped gym and spa private theatre terrace garden swimming pool helipad temple Healthcare facilities  Mukesh Ambani Site’s History Before Antilia graced the Mumbai skyline the land it occupies had a very different purpose. According to media reports the property was home to the Currimbhoy Ebrahim Yateemkhana an orphanage established in 1895 by Sir Fazalbhoy Currimbhoy Ebrahim a wealthy businessman from the Khoja Muslim community. The orphanage was managed by the Waqf Board and served orphans from the same community. In 2002 the Waqf Board reportedly sold the land to Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia Commercial Private Limited for $2.5 million though its market value at the time was estimated to be significantly higher. By 2003 the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) approved the building plans paving the way for the construction of this iconic mansion. Earlier AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday i.e. November 2 claimed that Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambanis Antilia is built on land belonging to the Waqf Board.  According to a report by Livelaw the affidavit was filed by Sandesh C Tadvi joint secretary to the Minority Development Department and acting CEO of State Board of Wakfs. It also claimed that one of the world’s most expensive private mansions Antilia stands on land originally owned by Currimbhoy Ebrahim Khoja Yateemkhana an orphanage.
