Exclusive - Kunal Bahl on being a part of Shark Tank India 4: I am a private person, this is as much as going out of the comfort zone for me
In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Kunal Bahl , who recently joined Shark Tank India Season 4 , shared his experience of stepping into the spotlight. "It’s been fantastic," Bahl said. "I have seen many episodes from seasons 1 to 3 as a viewer, so it’s surreal to be in the tank as one of the sharks and experiencing everything firsthand. The most important thing is the impact this show is having on the spirit of entrepreneurship in our country. Each of us is playing a small role in enabling that."
For Bahl, co-founder of Snapdeal and an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with over 250 startup investments, the transition to a public figure has been significant. "I am an introvert and a private person," he admitted. "I don’t socialize much or meet many people. After work, I spend time with my family and a few close friends. So this is as much as going out of the comfort zone as it can be for me. Mere hisaab se isse zyada main kuch kar nahi sakta apne comfort zone ke bahar."
Despite this challenge, Bahl finds motivation in the potential impact of the show. "What motivates me is imagining how much this is helping founders in the country," he explained. "Look at the efforts all the Sharks are putting in. It’s a tremendous amount of effort, staying away for so many hours from family. It’s all worth it."
Bahl joins an esteemed panel of sharks, including Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, and Ritesh Agarwal. This season also introduces new hosts, Sahiba Bali and Ashish Solanki, who bring fresh energy and personality to the show. Bahl's participation is set to add depth and diversity to the entrepreneurial discussions, offering valuable insights to aspiring business owners across India.
