A Dream and a Modest Beginning As a young boy Bipinbhai dreamt of building a successful business in Rajkot. When he shared his ambition with his father he was handed Rs 4500. His father assumed the money would be spent on a short-lived venture and Bipin would return home his business aspirations set aside. However Bipin proved him wrong. With this modest sum Bipin started a snacks business. His determination and vision laid the foundation for what would eventually become Gopal Snacks a brand now synonymous with quality snacks like namkeen and chips. Bipinbhais Early Struggles  Bipinbhais entrepreneurial spirit was influenced by his father who ran a small namkeen shop and sold snacks on a bicycle in their village. As a schoolboy Bipin assisted his father after classes learning the basics of the trade. In 1990 he borrowed Rs 4500 from his father to start his snacks business. Initially he partnered with another individual but after four years Bipin decided to part ways and venture out on his own. Founding Gopal Snacks In 1994 Bipinbhai took Rs 2.5 lakh from his share of the joint venture and started his own company Gopal Snacks. Together with his wife Daksha he began producing traditional namkeen from their home. Bipinbhai personally cycled through Rajkot’s streets selling their products door-to-door. A Journey to Success With relentless hard work and an unwavering commitment to quality Gopal Snacks grew steadily. The demand for their products soared allowing Bipinbhai to expand operations and reach markets across India. Today Gopal Snacks is India’s fourth-largest traditional snacks brand valued at Rs 5539 crore.
