The singer-turned-actor who once earned Rs 3000 as his first salary is now enjoying substantial financial success. Born in a small village in Punjab Diljit Dosanjh came from a modest family where his father worked as a bus driver. At the age of 11 his parents sent him to live with his uncle in Ludhiana due to financial reasons. The actor in an interview said that his connection with his parents diminished after he was sent away. At 16 Diljit began singing in local gurdwaras. He earned Rs 3000 as his first salary for performing at a birthday party. Diljit released his first album Ishq Da Uda Ada in 2004. However he rose to popularity after the release of his third album Smile produced by Sukhpal Sukh. In 2020 Dosanjh entered the Social 50 chart by Billboard following the release of his 11th album G.O.A.T. Reportedly Diljit Dosanjh is among the highest-paid Punjabi actors and commands the same amount for private performances. According to Financial Express his net worth is a staggering Rs 172 crore. Moreover the actor and singer owns two homes one in Khar another in Bandra and also travels a lot through his own private jet.
