Rapid Rail: Namo Bharat train started from Delhi to Meerut, know how much is the fare and what facilities are available?

There is big news for the passengers traveling between Delhi and Meerut. Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor. Now the journey from Delhi to Meerut can be done in just 40 minutes. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself bought a ticket and traveled in the Namo Bharat train. For a long time, passengers traveling from Delhi to Meerut were waiting for this train to start. This wait is now over. It is worth noting that this train used to run between Sahibabad to Meerut South till now, and during this time the Rapid Rail used to travel about 42 kilometers. Now this train will start running between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut, which will benefit many passengers traveling from Delhi to Meerut.

From today, the 13-kilometer route from New Ashok Nagar to Sahibabad will become operational. After the operation of this route, the distance from Delhi to Meerut can be covered in just 40 minutes.

It is worth noting that till now it used to take more than 2 hours to travel from Delhi to Meerut. The train will run every 15 minutes to go from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut. This train also has heating ventilation and air conditioning system. Apart from this, standard and premium classes have been installed in the rapid rail.

How much will be the fare

The fare to go from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South will be Rs 150 in standard coach, while to travel in premium coach you will have to pay Rs 225.

There are a total of 11 stations in this corridor built from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South. In the new 13 km corridor which has become operational, about 6 km of underground path has been built.
