In Hazaribagh, a man threw his bike into a well in anger and drowned while trying to take it out. Four other people who went to rescue him also died.
Hazaribagh News: Five people including four others died while trying to rescue a man from a well in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh, a police official said. The incident occurred in Sarawaha village under Charhi police station area when Sundar Karmali (27), in a fit of rage after a domestic quarrel with his wife Roopa Devi, threw his bike into the well and then climbed down the well to rescue it, the official said.
Bishnugarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) B.N. Prasad said, 'In anger, Karmali first threw his motorcycle into the well. After this, he went down the well to take out his vehicle, but he could not come back. Hearing his cries for help, four people came and tried to save him, but no one could come back and all of them died inside the well.'
The officer identified the deceased as Rahul Karmali, Vinay Karmali, Pankaj Karmali and Suraj Bhuiyan. All of them are aged between 25 and 28. The SDPO said that on receiving the information, the police reached the spot took out the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
