Mahakumbh 2025: National President of All India Muslim Jamaat Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has given a statement that 55 bighas of land at the place where Mahakumbh is to be held belong to the Waqf Board.

Ahead of the Maha Kumbh event in Prayagraj, All India Muslim Jamaat's national president Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has given a statement in which he said that 55 bighas of land at the venue of the Maha Kumbh belongs to the Waqf Board. Following this statement, VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal reacted in which he said "As the date of Maha Kumbh approaches, some people are making false and misleading statements. Maha Kumbh has been organized in Prayagraj since the time when Islam was not even born. Such statements are only meant to promote communal disputes."

Vinod Bansal said Jihadi people

He further said, “These people have their eyes on historical events like Maha Kumbh. These people have a jihadi mindset. It is necessary to disclose how much land of the country has been occupied by the Waqf Board. Such maulanas believe in Jinnah's ideas, but their dream will never be fulfilled.”

Reaction of Sadhvi Ritambhara

Sadhvi Ritambhara also reacted sharply to Maulana Shahabuddin's statement. She said, "The government should take over all the lands of the Waqf Board. The Waqf Board is using the law to take over the country's lands. The Waqf's claim on the land of Maha Kumbh is not only wrong, but it is the need of the hour that the government takes it under its control." She further said, "Illegal Bangladeshi citizens living in India should be thrown out. We should not repeat the mistakes we have made in the past. We have to understand that the refugees whom we gave place in our country are now trying to take over our properties.
