New Delhi: Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Good Bad Ugly has quite the hype surrounding it. Initially set to release in January 2025, during Pongal, the film was highly anticipated. Good Bad Ugly was originally scheduled to be released this month for Pongal. However, the filmmakers decided to postpone their plans to allow for the release of Ajith’s upcoming film, Vidaa Muyarchi. Recently, the makers of Vidaa Muyarchi announced that the film’s release has also been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Now, with all focus back on Good Bad Uglythe makers have finally announced a concrete release date. That’s right! From Good Bad Ugly release date, to cast crew and cast salary, here is everything you need to know.
Good Bad Ugly’s director Adhik Ravichandran took to his social media accounts to share a new poster featuring Ajith Kumar in an all-new bearded avatar. The caption announced the big news, Good Bad Ugly will release in theatres on April 10, 2025.

Produced by Pushpa 2‘s makers, Mythri Movies Makers and T-Series Films, Good Bad Ugly's cast includes Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev, and Yogi Babu. Good Bad Ugly‘s music director is GV Prakash Kumar and the cinematography is handled by Abinadhan Ramanujam.
The reported budget for the film stands approximately from Rs 225 crore to Rs 270 crore. Ajith Kumar has reportedly taken a large chunk of the budget as remuneration. A report by Asianet Tamil suggests that Ajith Kumar’s salary for Good Bad Ugly was Rs 163 crore. It has also been reported that Good Bad Ugly‘s OTT streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix for a whopping Rs 95 crore, a record-breaking amount for a Tamil film.
In other news, Ajith Kumar is also set to star in Vidaa Muyarchi. Although there is no set release date for the highly-anticipated film, fans have been patiently waiting to see Ajith Kumar in an all-new avatar.
