"Spider-Man" co-stars Zendaya and Tom Holland are officially engaged!

The news of their engagement was confirmed by TMZ on Monday, the day after she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring at the Golden Globe Awards. The internet was abuzz with rumours of the couple secretly getting engaged over the holidays when the actress hit the red carpet on Sunday night with an enormous rock on her ring finger.

Videos from the event even saw her flaunting the bling for all to see. She was even seen showing off her new bling to her friends at the awards show.

TMZ reported that the pair, who have been dating since 2021, took their relationship to the next level during a cosy Christmas break together. The British actor reportedly went down on one knee "in a very intimate setting in one of Zendaya's family homes in the United States," TMZ said.

"We're told Tom didn't make a huge show of the engagement -- it wasn't a big, over-the-top proposal -- instead, it was very romantic and intimate," read the report.

According to the report, the family wasn't there when the hunk popped the question. The engagement was described to be 'a sweet moment between Tom and Zendaya'.

Zendaya, the breakout star from 'Euphoria' and 'Challengers' has long been linked to Holland since they played love interests in 2017's “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

A reporter for the Los Angeles Times seemed to confirm something was up when she held up her engagement ring and pointed to it, and Zendaya responded by showing her own left-hand bling. The reporter then asked if the actor was engaged and “she kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously.”

Another clue was that Bulgari — for which the “Dune” star is an ambassador — provided Zendaya’s carpet jewelry — a necklace, right-hand ring and earrings — but a press release didn't mention the ring on her left ring finger.

Buzz is that Tom was the thorough gentleman and asked Zendaya's father Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for his blessing “months ago.”

Meanwhile, the internet has errupted in cheers for the couple. While some flooded social media with hilarious reactions, others sent the lovebirds congratulatory messages and notes of love.

Tom and Zendaya are the third Spider-Man couple to date off-camera after Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and also 'Amazing Spider-Man' co-stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone .
