A young couple sadly died on Monday night on the ORR Service Road near Ghanpur, inside the boundaries of the Ghatkesar police station, after allegedly being blackmailed by a girl’s cousin.

Authorities said a local girl has captured the heart of 25-year-old Parvatham Sriram, who owns a bicycle repair business in Jamilapet, Bibinagar Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. But their connection was revealed when the girl’s relative, Chintu, reportedly threatened to tell her parents about the romance unless they gave him money.

According to reports, Sriram offered Chintu Rs. 1.35 lakh together with the girl’s gold ring in an attempt to prevent further issues. But the blackmail persisted, and the pair ultimately decided to end their lives as a result.

Sriram took the girl to Ghanpur ORR on Monday after borrowing a vehicle from his buddy Naveen. They poured gasoline into the automobile and then lit it on fire, killing themselves in the process.

The event is now being looked into by the Ghatkesar police.
