Lucknow Diary | Akhilesh requests discipline from the cadre
Rekha Prajapati January 07, 2025 07:27 PM

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is being very careful in the lead-up to the 2027 state elections because he is conscious of the “boisterous” and “rowdy” image of his employees. Akhilesh taught his cadre the value of “discipline” since he was aware that his party’s chances in elections were often harmed by the boisterous behavior of his party workers, as people tended to avoid such individuals. “To gain the public’s trust and capitalize on the support we received in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, everyone must be courteous and disciplined when presenting the agenda of farmers, youth, and PDA to the public,” Akhilesh stated.

Using “Beyond the Badge” to share tales with police

To encourage aspiring police officers to enhance their performance while considering their work style, the Uttar Pradesh Police started a podcast series called “Beyond the Badge.” Satya Narayan Sabat, the former Director General of the Crime Branch, appeared in the first episode. He recounted experiences and struggles while revealing many facets of his personal and professional lives. Rahul Srivastava, Additional SP, who is in charge of the project, said, “These episodes will explore the untold personal aspects of cops’ lives, professional experiences, and their treasured memories.” You may listen to the podcast on UP Police’s YouTube account.

The Apna Dal groups’ rivalry intensifies.

With both sections led by two daughters of the late Kurmi leader Sonelal Patel, the political-familial conflict between the two Apna Dal factions is intensifying. Ashish Patel, the Yogi Minister and spouse of Apna Dal (S) head Anupriya Patel, and her estranged sister Pallavi Patel are engaged in a verbal sparring match. Since 2014, Apna Dal (S) and the NDA have been partners. As Pallavi accuses his brother-in-law Ashish Patel of corruption, Patel suspects that an unidentified power in the Uttar Pradesh government is supporting Pallavi’s campaign. Last Friday, he met with CM Yogi Adityanath to request a CBI investigation into Pallavi Patel’s allegations.
