The worlds richest man Elon Musk is set to enter Pakistan with his company Starlink. The company has registered in the country and is moving forward with the necessary processes to begin its services.
Pakistans Minister of Telecommunication and IT Shaza Fatima Khwaja stated that the registration has been completed and the licensing process is underway. This means the company will begin its services once it obtains the license.
To get internet access through Starlink a tower of ground support is not required. It provides internet through a satellite which is located in low earth orbit and it is the reason that people in remote areas can also access the internet. An antenna is installed over the house in order to get seamless internet access.
At present Stralink is providing its services in over 100 countries including United States and Australia.
In India spectrum may be allocated to Starlink by the end of this month. If it happens Starlink may start its services from the month of February.
