HMPV Virus: Currently, the threat of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) is looming all over the world, which has spread from China to 5 countries. So far 8 cases of this virus have been reported in India also. However, instead of panicking about this virus, doctors are advising to be cautious and alert. HMPV virus has knocked in Maharashtra, and now after Nagpur, a case of it has also been detected in Hiranandani Hospital, Powai, Mumbai. Here, symptoms of HMPV have been found in a six-month-old girl. The girl was admitted to the hospital on January 1 due to severe cough, chest tightness and oxygen level falling to 84 percent. Doctors confirmed the virus through a new rapid PCR test.
1. Diet containing citrus fruits and Vitamin C- Fruits like orange, lemon, kiwi and strawberry contain vitamin C, which strengthens immunity and keeps the lungs healthy.
