Soybean i.e. soya chunks is the favorite of most people. For vegetarian people, it gives non-veg taste. Today we are going to tell you how to make koftas of soybean or soya chunks, after eating which you will forget to eat non-veg. So let's know the recipe of kofta made of soybean or soya chunks.
Ingredients required to make Soybean Kofta
– Soybean large: 1 cup (soaked, squeezed and ground)
– Boiled potatoes: 2 (mashed)
– Gram flour: 2-3 tbsp
– Green chilli: 1-2 (finely chopped)
– Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
– Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
– Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp
– Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
– Salt: as per taste
– Oil: for frying koftas
– Tomato: 2-3 (make puree)
– Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
– Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
– Green chilli: 1-2 (finely chopped)
– Cashew paste: 2 tbsp (soaked and ground)
– Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
– Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
– Coriander powder: 1 tsp
– Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
– Kasuri Methi: 1 tsp (crushed)
– Cream: 2 tbsp (optional)
– Oil: 2-3 tbsp
– Coriander: for decoration
How to make Soybean Kofta
1. Soak large soybeans in hot water for 15 minutes, squeeze them and grind them.
2. Add boiled potatoes, gram flour, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and salt.
3. Make small balls (koftas) from this mixture.
4. Deep fry or shallow fry the koftas until they become golden and crispy. Take them out in a plate and keep them aside.
2. Prepare the gravy:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion to it and fry until it turns golden brown.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli, fry for 1 minute.
3. Now add tomato puree and add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder. Fry the spices until oil starts coming out from the sides.
4. Add cashew paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add 1-1.5 cups of water to thin the gravy.
6. After boiling, add garam masala and kasoori methi.
3. Add koftas:
1. Add fried koftas to the prepared gravy.
2. Cook it on low flame for 5-7 minutes so that the koftas absorb the flavor of the gravy.
3. If you want to make the gravy rich, then add cream on top.
4. Serve:
– Garnish soybean kofta with green coriander.
– Serve it with hot roti, paratha or jeera rice.
