Bad Bunny recently opened up about the inspiration behind his latest album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS (“I should have taken more photos”), addressing speculation about whether his relationship with Kendall Jenner played a role in shaping the album's emotional themes.

In an interview with Time, the Puerto Rican superstar explained that while his songs often explore love, heartbreak, and nostalgia, they aren’t always directly tied to one specific person. He emphasized that listeners shouldn’t assume every lyric is about someone famous or a well-known relationship.

“I have written songs inspired by people that people don’t have a f—ing clue who they are,” Bad Bunny said, hinting that much of his music comes from private, personal experiences rather than public relationships.

He elaborated that the themes in his album can represent different emotions, such as missing someone who is no longer in your life, feeling the pain of love lost, or even moments of regret. “The meaning of the song can vary in many things, like the absence of a person who is no longer with you, or a love. But it can be many other things too, that are no longer there,” he shared.

While the album dives deep into heartbreak and introspection, it’s also a heartfelt tribute to Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny described how the music captures both the sadness of loss and the joy of simple moments at home. “At times you are perhaps a little nostalgic, a little sentimental… But at the same time, you are enjoying other things: playing dominoes with grandparents or with the family,” he said.

He added that being in Puerto Rico brings him peace and happiness. “Since we are also in Puerto Rico, we are at home, we are with the group: That is a reason to be happy, to be content.”

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner first sparked dating rumors in early 2023 after being spotted on a dinner outing with Justin and Hailey Bieber. Kendall later attended his Coachella performance, further fueling speculation about their romance.

The pair reportedly took a break in December 2023 but were seen together again at an afterparty following the 2024 Met Gala. However, by September, reports suggested that they had parted ways once more.
