Tottenham drop double early team news hint for Liverpool tie as huge return 'confirmed'

Tottenham take on Liverpool tonight in a semi-final first leg in, arguably, the biggest game of their season so far. Spurs are in a difficult run of results with five defeats and just two victories in their last 10 matches while Liverpool have not lost since mid-September.

Arne Slot's side did suffer a surprise result this past weekend with Manchester United picking up a point at Anfield and they were perhaps unfortunate to not claim all three. Prior to that, Liverpool had won 12 of their last 14 games with one of those triumphs coming at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Two weeks on from that stunning 6-3 win, Liverpool are back in north London for the first leg of a cup semi-final with the second leg not for another four weeks. Arsenal and Newcastle are the other teams in the last four - with the latter taking a big step towards a spot in the final after beating Arsenal 2-0 away from home on Tuesday night.

While the Gunners, who face Spurs in just seven days, looked lost in attack largely owing to injuries, Postecoglou is dealing with some huge defensive absences.

Specifically for the Liverpool clash, The frontline is where Postecoglou has the most players available with it possible Mikey Moore returns from two months out to offer a further boost in attack.

That area is also unsurprisingly where the Tottenham boss faces the most decisions - . Exactly who will start is currently unclear but Tottenham may have dropped a big hint on two names set to feature.

On social media, Spurs uploaded their pre-match graphic promoting tonight's fixture where both captain Son and Kulusevski were featured.

Such an action often means the players are set for a prominent role in the game with that likely the case for Son and Kulusevski. The Sweden international has been Spurs' most important player this season and therefore seems destined for another start, likely in midfield because of Maddison's absence.

Son, meanwhile, despite being the club captain, was named on the bench against Newcastle, but he is very much expected to return to the starting XI for the visit of Liverpool.
