2025 Dakar Rally Stage 4 results — KTM back on top, Loeb’s rally ends

The 2025 Dakar Rally has been tough so far, with names such as Sainz and Loeb having to end their outing early. Now, back to the stage results — Sanders is back, winning stage 4 in the motorcycle class and Yazeed Al Rajhi takes the win in the cars category. This is the start of the marathon stage and competitors will have no access to their mechanics at the end of the day.Daniel Sanders is back, winning the first part of the marathon stage, making it four out of five wins so far, showcasing precision riding, battling the dunes and navigating. He was followed by Honda’s Schareina in second, and Hero’s Nacho Cornejo in third, making him the fastest Hero of the day.The three big names – Branch, Brabec, and Howes – had a good pace throughout the race but ended up making a navigation blunder towards the last 30km of the stage, losing precious time. However, in the overall standings, Sanders still leads, with Schareina in second and Ross Branch in third. All five Hondas are in the top seven.Saudi superstar Al Rajhi took the stage win on the Hilux, followed by South Africa’s Lategan in second, and Yacopini in third. In the overall standings, it’s Lategan in the lead, with Al Rajhi in second and Ford’s Ekstrom in third, while Nasser AlAttiyah currently stands in seventh.After Carlos Sainz was given a nogo, deeming his car was not fit by FIM, it was ninetime WRC winner Loeb who came under the scanner and was also given a nogo. Now the Dacia team is left with one driver for the remainder of the race — Nasser AlAttiyah.
