Arvind Swami is one of the popular names in the South film industry. Many may not know that Arvin Swami had no connection in the entertainment industry. However he managed to make his name in South films. Let us tell you the inspiring story behind how Arvind Swami rose to stardom and an unfortunate accident that almost took his life. Many may not know that Arvind Swami apart from acting ventured into business and built a Rs 3000 crore business. Meet actor who wanted to become a doctor built a Rs 3000 core empire Arvind Swami was not able to deliver an impactful film in terms of box office numbers. Whats interesting to note is that Arvind Swami stepped away from acting and ventured into business. After making a strong foundation for his business empire he once again returned to the big screens. Many may not know that Arvind Swami lent his voice as a narrator in Suriyas mega-budget film Kanguva. However he was last seen in the film Meiyazhagan alongside actor Karthi. Arvind Swami was born on 18 June 1970 in a Tamil Brahmin family. He is the son of industrialist V.D. Swami and Bharatanatyam dancer Vasantha. According to media reports Arvind Swami was not interested in becoming an actor or a businessman he dreamt of becoming a doctor since he was in class 10. However there was a change in plan when Arvind started going to college where he did modelling to earn pocket money. While doing this Arvind got an opportunity to do an advertisement. When Arvind Swami impressed Mani Ratnam Based on media reports renowned filmmaker Mani Ratman was impressed by Arvind Swamis ads. Later Mani offered Arvind a role in one of his films Thalapthi (1991). Apart from this Arvind has worked with big names in the film industry like Rajinikanth Mammootty Amrish Puri and many more. Once again Arvind Swami surprised Mani Ratman he was later offered lead roles in Roja and Bombay. Arvind Swamis business mindset Arvind Swamis run in South film was short after giving back-to-back hits many of his films started failing at the box office due to which he quit acting. Later Arvind Swami took over his fathers business empire. He became the director of VD Swami and Company. He started developing the company at a rapid pace where he started doing international trade and roped in construction businesses. In 2000 Arvind was InterPro Globals president and Prolease Indias chairman. In 2005 Arvind founded Talent Maximus. If reports are to be believed Arvind Swami built a business empire worth Rs 3000 crore. An accident that almost killed Arvind Swami At the peak of his business career Arvind Swami faced another setback he met with an accident and it damaged his spinal cord. Because of the injury Arvind had to survive partial paralysis from his leg. However he recovered well after several years of treatment. Arvinds married life For the unversed Arvind Swami was first married to Gayathri Ramamurthy in 1994 the couple welcomed two children Adhira and Rudra. However due to personal reasons the couple decided to part ways. In 2010 Arvind Swami separated from his first wife and in 2012 the actor got married to Aparna Mukherjee
