Following the sighting campus security was intensified and access to the premises was restricted. A notice issued to employees stated “Please do not enter the campus today (December 31).”
The incident also affected around 4000 trainees at the Infosys Global Education Centre in Mysuru.
Leopard Search Operations
The forest department confirmed that CCTV footage captured the leopard on the campus at approximately 2 a.m. Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) IB Prabhu Gowda shared “The leopard was seen on CCTV around 2 a.m. Our team reached the location by 4 a.m. and immediately initiated a combing operation.” Despite efforts the leopard remained elusive at the time of reporting.
