The deceased has been identified as Kaushal Kumar Singh alias Manoj Kumar, a resident of Ajni Parora. The deceased's younger brother Kishore Kumar Singh along with his brothers-in-law Gautam Kumar, Ram Pravesh Yadav and Bhavesh Kumar are seriously injured. According to information, the deceased's younger brother Kishore Kumar Singh is an army jawan.

Family members said that everyone had gone to Simaria to attend the mother's funeral. After performing the mother's last rites, everyone was returning home from Simaria.
