At Radha Keli Kunj Ashram in Mathura, a follower asked Premanand Maharaj about the beliefs related to a cat crossing the path. While answering the follower, Guru Premanand said, "Never stop in such a situation. Whether a cat a dog or a mongoose crosses the path, these are all worldly matters. God is present in all. In such a situation, nothing bad can happen to you. Salute the spirit of God in the cat and move ahead. Then you will not face any problems."

Premanand Maharaj says in a joking manner “Ok tell me, who is more powerful than the cat or the Brajwasi?” Then the answer comes from the other side – Brajwasi. After this Premanand Maharaj says “As people say, one should not go in this direction on this day, then make God sit in that direction, bow down and move ahead. There will be no direction defect if you do so. If the mind gets nervous in such a situation, then immediately remember Govind and say Giriraj Dharan ki Jai and move ahead. Obstacles are for those who are averse and sinful people. Every obstacle becomes auspicious for the complete soul and the devotee of God.”
