Osho: In ancient India it has always been believed that you can only reach or touch the feet of the Guru, why? Because only his feet touch the earth while he himself remains immersed in the unknown. Since He has appeared in the form of a lotus in the mud of this earth, His feet are called Lotus Feet or Charan Kamal. In the East there has been a tradition for disciples and devotees to sit at the feet of the Guru. their lives
Such moments can be transformative and can lead to a more profound and profound experience from one's guru than learning through books or teachings.

The term 'lotus feet' has been used for thousands of years, referring to gods, saints and other highly spiritual
Used as a metaphor for the divine feet of individuals, the lotus is a wonderful symbol of spiritual growth. Just as a lotus blooms in the mud yet is not affected by it, similarly the Guru living in this world remains away from the worldly things of this world. When the disciple touches the Guru's feet for blessings, the Guru touches his head to complete the cycle. The feet of eminent personalities are molded into a mould, which is called 'Charan Kamal'. They are made of five metals and are considered auspicious. They are said to hold energy for a long time.

Sitting at the feet of the Guru, no words are needed. The mind and brain stops in front of them. A silent dialogue is possible and so is surrender. It is not known to many in the Osho Sannyasa community that the mold of Osho's feet was made during his stay in Mumbai and twelve such sets were made which are known to have been made. Just before Osho left Mumbai for Pune, Ma Yoga Taru, whom Osho also nicknamed Nightingale, invited Osho to his home for lunch. After lunch, Maa Yoga Taru emotionally requested Osho to let her paint the soles of her feet with kumkum (which Hindu women use to apply bindi on their foreheads) and then wash them on a clean white cloth. Allow him to keep an impression of the painted steps so that he can preserve it forever. Osho gave his consent to this.

This incident reminded Osho of his meeting with the famous late sculptor Bramesh Wagh as a co-passenger in an air journey. In that meeting, Osho had casually asked him how a metal statue could survive for hundreds of years. Can remain protected? Wagh then replied that according to ancient Hindu scriptures the idols were made from five metals or a compound of Panch (five) dhatus (metals). A few days later, a devotee prayed to give his lotus feet a more permanent form. Osho for this
Remembered Late Wagh, he was invited to make the mould, in making that mold of the feet
Took about four hours. From that mold he prepared a set of Osho's lotus feet.

Even today, the first copper colored set of these lotus feet is visible in the apartment of Manju who lives in Pune. Later, when my sannyasa began in 1974 and Osho named his meditation center in Nairobi 'Prem
Need', Manju requested that a set may be sanctioned for this center also, viz.
Manju was also the first to be given approval to supply one set to Ananda Need, the first center in Nairobi. This time the color of the set was golden and the same color was approved for all other sets. Osho indicated to Ma Yoga Lashmi to give me the letter and send it to Wagh for a set of moulds. I went to Wagh's studio in Mumbai (which has been running for 100 years in three generations) and paid three thousand rupees for the set which was prepared in two weeks. After taking it, I went back to Pune and met them.
Gave it to Lakshmi who kept it in Osho's bedroom for three nights so that the set could be charged with her energy.
Then many other monks in Nairobi also began requesting sets of Charan Kamals and thus more than half a dozen Charan Kamals were placed in Nairobi, each welcomed with a grand celebration. Later, we heard that the process had been discontinued. From the mid-seventies, many Nairobi monks migrated from Nairobi to Britain, the United States and Canada and these lotus feet also traveled with them.
Manju in UK I requested for one more set for my children, they all were Sanyasi at that time and hence as my Sanyasi family was living in Delhi I also requested for a set for them, then we both got two sets.
During the darshan, I was given the set and I telegrammed Nairobi that Charan Kamal was coming. About 50 Sannyasis turned up to the airport to welcome Osho at the lotus feet and when they reached the new home of 'Prem Need', the celebration continued for hours with singing and dancing.
During the seventies I was screening an Osho film, which I had shot on a rooftop in New Delhi, for my family. The next day, one of my neighbours, Nirmal Khanna, came to my house, and asked me who was this guy in the movie. This is how she became acquainted with Osho and she went to Pune, where he took the initiative to take Sannyasa and then requested to be given a set of lotus feet. her husband and daughter too
Became a monk. On her return to India in 2000, we went to meet her and saw that she had kept that set in a cupboard, because she had then moved on to follow another guru. Therefore, we suggested that this set could be more appropriately kept in Osho Dham and she agreed to donate it.

Swami Om Prakash and Swami Atul were happy about this and we took this set to Osho Dham located near Buddha Hall where hundreds of sannyasis welcomed the set by having a big celebration with flower petals. Was Osho's energy seeping into his lotus feet? I have been asked this question. So the answer is definitely 'yes'. If you are free and in a meditative state, you can clearly
Can experience it visually. I have experienced this when some sannyasis enter our Osho's room and they feel energized by him. He is situated in it.
Young monks have also had similar experiences after meditating in the Buddha Hall in Osho Dham.

More than a dozen of the following sannyasis and Osho meditation centers are reported to have Osho's lotus feet: India (New Delhi-3, Pune-2, Dehradun-1, Bhageshwar-1), UK (London-5), Canada ( Toronto-1) and at an undisclosed location.
