New Delhi: Indian cricket team's star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who recently returned to India after participating in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played in Australia, got a grand welcome. After returning home, he was given a grand welcome at the airport with drums and then he was brought in a jeep to his home in Visakhapatnam. The jeep was also decorated with garlands of flowers and the sound of drums made the atmosphere even more pompous.

Nitish Reddy's performance in Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Nitish Reddy made his Test debut for India during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and performed brilliantly in this series. He scored 298 runs in nine innings in five matches at an average of 37.25 and was the fourth highest run-scorer in the series. He also scored a century with his bat. Apart from this, in bowling also he took five wickets at an average of 38, due to which he made important contribution to the team as an all-rounder.

Nitish Reddy has played 5 Test and 3 T20 International matches for India so far. In Test cricket, he scored 298 runs in nine innings at an average of 37.25, which also included a century. While bowling, he took 5 wickets in 9 innings at an average of 38 and his best performance was 2/42. In T20 cricket too, he scored 90 runs in three innings at an average of 45, which also included a half-century. In bowling, he took three wickets, in which his best performance was 2/32.
