Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam has released notification for recruitment to the posts of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) School Teachers for 2025.

Online applications from candidates will start from 15 February 2025 and applications can be made till 31 March 2025. The application process will be available only on the official website of DEE Assam dee.assam.gov.in.

A total of 4,500 posts will be appointed in this recruitment, out of which 2,900 posts are of Assistant Teacher in Lower Primary (LP) Schools, while 1,600 posts are for Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher in Upper Primary (UP) Schools. These posts are in different districts, and candidates have to select their district while applying.

It is mandatory for the candidates to clear the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) (for LP or UP schools as per the post). Language 1 or Language 2 of CTET or ATET should match the medium of instruction of the school where they wish to apply.

Candidates should be between 18 and 40 as of 1st January 2025. Candidates from reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government norms.

Interested and eligible candidates have to register by visiting the official website of DEE Assam at dee.assam.gov.in. The application process will start from 15th February 2025 and will continue till 31st March 2025. Candidates have to upload all the required documents while applying and pay the prescribed application fee.

DEE Assam will publish separate merit lists for each district and category. The selection will be done on the basis of merit list and candidates will be called for document verification and other process.
