Vaishnaw highlighted the newly renovated Amrit Bharat train’s emphasis on offering high-quality travel choices to regular people.

“This is the Amrit Bharat train’s second iteration. The Amrit Bharat train was designed with regular people in mind. All premium coaches have the same amenities as the general coach. “Sabka saath, sabka vikas, and upliftment of everyone” is the sense with which it has been created,” he said.

The minister emphasized the new design’s many passenger-friendly amenities, including upgraded seats, better fans, charging ports, chairs with lumbar support, a pantry car, and redesigned restrooms.

In an effort to further enhance the traveler experience, Vaishnaw further said that ongoing upgrades are being made to the Vande Bharat trains.

Vaishnaw also mentioned the Vistadome coaches’ upgrades, particularly the installation of a dining car.

“The Vistadome coaches have undergone several upgrades, such as the addition of a dining car. With visitors in mind, this has been done. He clarified that passengers might have supper while admiring the expansive vistas.

It is anticipated that the new bus, which would improve the tourist experience, will soon be used in Jammu and Kashmir.

The minister said that a new Vande Bharat train has been created for the Jammu-Srinagar railway route, taking into account the region’s below-freezing conditions. The goal of building a railway line to link Jammu and Srinagar will soon come true.

Vaishnaw gave updates on notable advancements in railway safety. He said that ‘KAVACH,’ a safety feature intended to avoid train crashes, is being installed on 10,000 locomotives.

‘KAVACH’ is being used to install 10,000 locomotives, and 15,000 kilometers of trackside fittings are being completed. The installation of telecom towers is underway. At a news conference, he said, “Locomotives are also getting cameras mounted in front of them.

Furthermore, Vaishnaw affirmed that the Railway Board would determine Amrit Bharat train rates.

He also mentioned how “very good” the railway capital expenditures had been going. “By the end of December and the first week of January, 76% of the Capex has already been utilized,” he said. Additionally, this was a record Capex that had never occurred before.
