Bollywood's Greek God Hrithik Roshan is celebrating his birthday today. This date of birthday is even more special for Hrithik, because on this day his debut film 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' was released. Today this film has completed 25 years. Ameesha Patel also debuted in Bollywood through this film. This was the first movie of both of them and the stardom that both of them got through 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' was hardly possible for them through any other film. This proved to be a game changer for the careers of both the stars. 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' has been released again in theaters today. Ameesha Patel has shared some memories regarding this. He has told that after the release of his movie, he and Hrithik Roshan started receiving proposals from fans.
During an interview with News 24, Ameesha told how people were addicted to the release of Kaho Na Pyaar in 2000. After watching the film, he married her in the temple with her photos and also wrote letters in blood.
Ameesha Patel expressed gratitude for 'Kaho Na Pyaar' during the interview. Ameesha told, “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai was a cult film during that period. When this film was released, there was no era of social media or reels. Still, its craze was going over people's heads. People started dressing like our characters. “Although we were happy with that success, there were some things that we had not even imagined.”
Ameesha Patel further said, “After the release of the film, Hrithik and I started receiving marriage proposals from fans. People were getting married in temples with our photos and I even received love letters written in blood. This was very scary. People used to follow me and follow us. In those days, there was no culture of bodyguards with actors, but the fans were not agreeing, so then I had to hire a bodyguard for myself. It took me time to get used to this popularity, because after this I could not go to restaurants and salons as freely as before.”
Talking about the star cast of 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', apart from Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel, Anupam Kher, Dilip Tahil and Mohnish Bahl were seen in the film. The film was directed by Hrithik Roshan's father Rakesh Roshan.
