Laurence Powell, the late Steve Jobs’ wife, would attend the forthcoming Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Swami Kailashnand Ji Maharaj revealed Wednesday.
He told ANI that Laurence Powell had been given the Hindu name “Kamala.”
She’s going here to see her guru. She is like a daughter to us, and we have called her Kamala. She is visiting India for the second time. “Kumbh is open to everyone,” he said.
Powell is coming for her own program, he added, adding, “She is coming here to meditate.”
He said, “We will try to include her in the Peshwai,” when asked whether Powell will be included in the Akhara’s Peshawai. We’ll let her make the decision. She will meet the seers here and take a tour of this Kumbh. She will feel fantastic too. We will also be pleased if those who are unfamiliar with our customs are interested in learning more.
“The majority of individuals on the planet are being guided by a guru. There are many visitors to Kumbh; some of them are there for personal reasons,” he said.
“Maha Kumbh is a religious mela; people come from India and all over the world to seek blessings,” said Swami Kailashnand Ji Maharaj.
Brajesh Pathak, the deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, had earlier said that all of the Mela preparations were finished.
“Everything has been finalized for the Maha Kumbh… In order to get their blessings and express our gratitude for their attendance, we are meeting with all of the saints and sages who have traveled to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh. It is our duty to make sure that none of the saints have any difficulties. Everyone is welcome. “Everything has been arranged,” he said.
Keshav Prasad Maurya, the deputy chief minister, promised that this time the devotees will see a magnificent and glorious Kumbh.
“The heavenly, great, green Kumbh of Prayagraj has been prepared in a most divine and majestic manner. We’re anticipating January 13th. Everything is set up to greet everyone and guarantee their safe bathing experience. I have seen the mayhem of the 2013 Kumbh as well as the well-run 2019 Ardh Kumbh,” he said.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, praised Prasar Bharti’s efforts on Friday to develop a unique radio channel called “Kumbhvani” just for the Maha Kumbh, which is set to start on January 13. According to him, the radio station would enable those who live in rural parts of the nation, where connection problems still exist, to attend the Kumbh Mela.
“We will use these capabilities to provide people in isolated communities with all the information they need about the Maha Kumbh. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, CM Adityanath said, “We can broadcast the happenings in Maha Kumbh so that people living in remote areas experience the same.”
Over 45 crore people are anticipated for the celebration of the Maha Kumbh, which is being held after a 12-year hiatus. Devotees will assemble at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge, to take a sacred bath during the Mahakumbh. On February 26, the Maha Kumbh will come to an end.
On January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami), the Kumbh’s principal bathing ceremonies (Shahi Snan) will be held.
