The fires, which began in Pacific Palisades and spread to Malibu, Santa Monica, and beyond, have left families devastated. While firefighters work tirelessly to control the flames, several stars have shared their stories of losing their homes.

Mandy Moore’s co-star, who also lost his Malibu home in the fires, shared how he and his pregnant wife evacuated in time but had to watch their home burn on security cameras. He told CBS News, “I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real and this is happening,’ and then at a certain point, we just turn it off. It’s like, what good is it to continue watching, you know? We kind of accepted the loss.”
