Kerala youth arrested for Rs. 10L investment scam via WhatsApp

Mangaluru Police have arrested a Kerala-based youth for allegedly luring a person into investing in the stock market through WhatsApp, promising high returns, and then cheated him out of Rs. 10 lakh.

The arrested individual has been identified as Nithin Kumar K.S., son of Sudhakaran from Thrissur, Kerala. Further investigations have revealed that more people may be involved, and efforts are underway to apprehend them.

Last year, Nithin Kumar had scammed a person out of Rs. 10,32,000 in multiple installments. Following the complaint, the police conducted an investigation and found that money had been transferred to various bank accounts. Nithin Kumar’s bank account had received Rs. 1 lakh, and it was found that he had received commissions from multiple bank accounts before transferring the money. He was produced before the court.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal, and Deputy Commissioners Siddharth Goyal and Ravishankar, by CEN ACP Ravish Naik, Police Inspector Sathish M.P., and SI Gurappa Kanti.
