Netflix India is set to revive one of its most popular whodunit thrillers with a sequel to Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s 2020 murder mystery, Raat Akeli Hai. Peepingmoon.com exclusively reports that Siddiqui will reprise his role as the small-town inspector Jatil Yadav, with Chitrangda Singh joining the cast as the female lead.
The sequel, directed once again by Honey Trehan, promises to deliver another gripping mystery. While the plot remains under wraps, it is expected to follow a traditional sequel structure, with Inspector Yadav tackling a new high-profile and intricate case. The collaboration marks a fresh start for Siddiqui and Singh, who were set to work together on the 2017 film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz but parted ways due to creative differences.
