Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has named Bitpanda as its new premium partner and official crypto trading partner.
Under the multi-year agreement, Bitpanda’s branding will be showcased at the Parc des Princes. It also includes digital activations, player involvement in content creation and exclusive experiences aimed at bringing fans closer to the club.
Furthermore, Bitpanda users will have access to unique opportunities, including privileged entry to PSG matches, invitations to exclusive events and the chance to meet both current and former PSG players.
Nicola Ibbetson, Global Partnership Director at PSG, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Bitpanda as a premium partner. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation and excellence, offering unique opportunities to connect with our fans worldwide and shape the future of digital engagement in sports.”
Sponsorship agreements between financial institutions and sports are becoming more common, with firms like Bitpanda seeing a lot of potential in pushing to introduce their services to fans who happen to be their target audience.
Bitpanda has a history of leveraging sports for marketing, with partnerships in football including AC Milan and Bayern Munich, as well as collaborations with other leagues like the NFL last year.
Bitpanda has stated that this deal “cements its position as France’s premier destination for crypto assets” and seeks to redefine how people invest in crypto.
Eric Demuth, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitpanda, remarked: “PSG is more than just a football club – it is France’s most celebrated team and a global symbol of excellence, consistency, and success.
“As the country’s most decorated club, they continue to deliver outstanding results season after season.
“At Bitpanda, we hold ourselves to the same high standards as we grow our presence in France and beyond. Working together with PSG represents a defining moment for Bitpanda as it cements its position as France’s premier destination for crypto assets.”
