UK snow: Weather maps show exact time next barrage of snow to hit UK amid -12C freeze

This striking map shows the exact time today yet more is forecast to stretch across the UK.

Meteorologists with Ventusky reckon further white stuff will arrive to large swathes of England and Wales by 3pm and move eastwards as the afternoon and evening progresses.

It will be most widespread by 6pm, falling as far south as Hampshire and as far north as Ayrshire in . The heaviest of today's snow is likely across Cheshire and Merseyside, where Liverpool face Accrington Stanley in the at Anfield.
