Girona will be bidding to make it successive victories in Spain’s top flight when they head to Alaves on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors beat Real Valladolid 3-0 before the winter break to move into eighth position in the La Liga tablewhile Alaves, who sit 16th, shared the points with Valencia in their last fixture on December 22.
We say: Alaves 1-1 Girona
Alaves have been the draw specialists of late, and we are expecting another stalemate here; Girona were excellent last time out, but the Catalan side have only won two of their nine away league matches during the 2024-25 campaign, and we are expecting a tight match on Saturday afternoon to end in a low-scoring draw.

Two teams struggling towards the bottom of the La Liga table will lock horns on Saturday evening, with Espanyol welcoming Leganes to Stage Front Stadium.
Espanyol have picked up just 15 points from their 18 league matches this season, which has left them down in 18th position, while Leganes are on 18 points from 18 games, which is only enough for 15th spot.
We say: Spain 1-1 Leganes
It is difficult to back either side with any real confidence on Saturday, and we have therefore had to settle on a draw; Leganes have shared the points in five of their nine away league games this term, and we are expecting them to be good enough to claim a point against Espanyol at Stage Front Stadium.

Two underperforming giants of Spanish football will lock horns in La Liga on Saturday night, with Sevilla welcoming Valencia to Estadio Ramon, and both teams are desperate for the points due to their struggles this term.
Sevilla are currently down in 14th spot in the La Liga tableonly picking up 22 points from their 18 league matches this season, while Valencia sit 19th, with Los Che collecting just 12 points from their 18 games in Spain’s top flight this term.
We say: Sevilla 1-1 Valencia
Valencia are yet to win on their travels in La Liga this season, but they have picked up three draws, and we fancy Los Che to claim a point here; Sevilla will have home advantage, but they have only scored eight times at Estadio Ramon in the league this term, and a low-scoring draw looks to be the most likely outcome on Saturday night.
