Nirupa Roy’s Real Name Nirupa Roy was born as Kanta Chauhan and she adopted the name Nirupa Roy when she entered the film industry. At the age of just 15 she married Kamal Roy a ration inspector who encouraged her to pursue acting. However when her father found out about her decision to join the film industry he was furious and broke all ties with her never speaking to her again. Despite this emotional setback Nirupa Roy remained undeterred and she became one of the most sought-after actresses of her time working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry including Amitabh Bachchan Dev Anand Shashi Kapoor and Dilip Kumar.
