Tata Motors has kicked off the new year with updates across its lineup, starting from the Tiago, Tiago EV, and Tigor, and now the Nexon. The sub4meter SUV introduces three new variants and two fresh colours. However, Tata has phased out the signature Fearless Purple and Flame Red shades. While the Nexon still offers a Dark Edition, the Kaziranga Edition has been discontinued.The 2025 Nexon range starts from Rs 8 lakh with the Smart trim, which the company has reintroduced in its lineup. This replaces the Smart (O) entrylevel variant and the SUV comes standard with six airbags, all LED lights, multiple drive modes and an alldigital instrument cluster. Tata Motors offers the sunroof as an optional feature from the second most affordable variant, the Smart +, onwards. Nexon’s three new variants are Pure Plus, Creative and Creative Plus PS.This new trim is packed with a 10.25inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto foldable ORVMs, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear parking camera, 4 speaker sound system and a 4inch digital instrument cluster. For additional features, there is the Pure +S which offers a sunroof, auto headlamps and rainsensing wipers. The Creative takes it a notch above with a 360degree camera, 16inch alloy wheels, push star button, automatic climate control, hidden rear wiper and washer placed below the roof spoiler, touch centre console panel, USB Type A and Type C ports and a cooled glove box. One can upgrade to Creative +S for the additional features like the Pure +S. The Creative Plus PS sports a panoramic sunroof with biLED headlights, front fog lamps with a cornering function, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a wireless phone charger, front parking sensors and four speakers with two tweeters. The 2025 Nexon gets seven paint schemes — Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Pure Grey, Ocean Blue and Carbon Black. The two new additional colours are Grassland Beige and Royal Blue. The 2025 Tata Nexon does not receive any mechanical or engine updates and continues to offer petrol, diesel, and CNG powertrains. The 1.2litre turbo petrol engine delivers 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque, while the diesel produces 113 bhp and 260 Nm. The CNG variant generates 98.5 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. The petrol engine comes with a choice of a 5speed or 6speed manual, a 6speed AMT, or a 7speed dualclutch automatic transmission. The diesel is offered with either a 6speed manual or a 6speed AMT, while the CNG variant is paired with a 6speed manual gearbox.
