Actress and fashionista Uorfi Javed reacted to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma's divorce reports and slammed those who are blame only 'women' for separations. Uorfi reposted a video on her Instagram story which claimed that Dhanashree 'ruined' Chahal's life.
Reacting to it, she wrote, "Every time a cricketer is breaking up or getting divorced, the woman is bashed left right and centre just because in our head our cricketer is our hero. None of us have any idea what happened between the two or even during Natasha and Hardik's case but of course it's the woman who is at fault."
"Oh and don't forget the time when Anushka was blamed for Virat's bad performances. Remember? So it's always the woman who is to be blamed for the man's action? These are grown men with fully functioning brains who know what they are doing," she added, extending support to Dhanashree.
Neither Dhanashree nor Chahal have confirmed the reports about their divorce yet. However, the two have unfollowed each other and have even deleted pictures with each other from their social media handles.
Rumours were also rife that Chahal is in a relationship with popular RJ Mahavash. However, on January 10, she clarified that she is not dating the cricketer.
Dhanashree, who was one of the participants on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, had revealed how she met Chahal in one of the episodes. "During the lockdown, cricketers were frustrated with no matches happening. One day, Yuzi decided he wanted to learn dance after seeing my videos. He approached me, and I agreed to teach him," she said.
Dhanashree and Chahal tied the knot in December 2020 in an intimate ceremony after a brief relationship.
