Mahakumbh 2025: There is a huge gathering of saints and mahatmas in Mahakumbh, the world's largest religious event. But this time a special child will also be seen there, whose age is only three and a half years. His name is Shravan Puri. The Babas of Juna Akhara have given him the status of a saint, because his behavior and characteristics are like those of sages and monks.
Shravan Puri participates in the worship of Juna Akhara and performs aarti. Their behavior is very different from that of ordinary children. He likes to eat fruits instead of chocolate. He stays with the saints even while playing and instead of remembering his parents, he speaks shlokas and mantras in a stammering language.
Shravan Puri was donated to the ashram of Dera Baba Shyam Puri in February 2021 by a couple from Fatehabad district of Haryana. At that time he was only three months old. A vow of the couple was fulfilled, after which they donated the child to the ashram.
Guru Ashtakoushal Maharaj of Shravan Puri tells that the child was dedicated from the ashram to Juna Akhara and is now growing up there. Guru Bhai takes care of him. While living with the saints and Guru brothers, Shravan Puri's behavior has become completely spiritual. People are surprised to see his saint-like life at his young age.
Shravan Puri's sleeping and waking hours are like those of a saint. In winter he wakes up at 5 in the morning, but in summer he wakes up before 4 o'clock. Mahant Kundan Puri of Juna Akhara says that God resides within children. When a child lives as a saint, it is beneficial not only for that child but for the entire world. Mahakumbh fair is going to start from 13th January. This time more than 40 crore devotees are expected to come.
