Jennifer Mistry , known for her role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah , has expressed deep concern for her former co-star Gurucharan Singh ’s health. Singh, who portrayed Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular sitcom, was recently hospitalized due to severe weakness. His close friend, Bhakti Soni, revealed that Singh had abstained from solid food for an extended period, subsisting solely on liquids, which led to a significant decline in his health.


In an exclusive interview, Mistry with Zoom she shared her worries, stating, “I am very worried for Gurucharan Singh. I tried calling him a day before yesterday, but his number remained out of service. I feel sad for his parents as they are very old.” She also highlighted Singh’s longstanding financial struggles, noting, “Gurucharan has been in debt for a long time. He is very spiritual. When I tried to explain to him to work and quote a reasonable amount to the organizers or makers, he remained adamant.”


Mistry disclosed that both she and Singh were approached to participate in Bigg Boss 18 . “Gurucharan and I were approached for Bigg Boss. We also had discussions with the makers. In fact, Gurucharan was fully dependent on Bigg Boss for monetary reasons. He was very sure that he would enter the show, and his financial issues would get resolved. However, nothing happened,” she explained. Mistry speculated that the disappointment from this missed opportunity might have contributed to Singh’s decision to forgo food and water.


Additionally, Mistry mentioned that their mutual acquaintance, Dilkush Reporter, inquired about Singh’s well-being. Reporter, who has embarked on a spiritual journey, is regarded by both actors as a mentor.
