January 12, Prayagraj At the Yamuna Bank Ghat in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi launched a large water laser display that highlighted significant Mahakumbh 2025 events.
The 45-minute water laser display was developed at a cost of around Rs 20 crore.
In under 60 days, a group of around 100 individuals constructed it.
The project’s private business has previously hosted similar water laser exhibitions in Jhansi and Ayodhya.
At the inauguration, Nand Gopal Gupta, the Minister Nandi emphasized the magnificence of the event by describing it as a historical and visually amazing experience.
Minister Nandi said on the social networking site X that the Kumbh Katha will be shown on the water screen during the daily operation of the water laser show.
“The water laser display of the Tourism Department, constructed at a cost of Rs 22 crore at Kali Ghat on Yamuna Bank Road, was launched today by conducting Puja and pushing a button, under the capable direction of Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh. It will run every day. This will show the Kumbh Katha on the water screen,” Nandi stated.
“On the occasion, Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh, Uttar Pradesh PCL General Manager Suresh Yadav, Project Manager Rajesh Sharma, APM Ganesh Prasad and Suraj Babu were present,” said the post.
The Minister said that the event will provide visitors to the Mahakumbh a captivating and breathtakingly beautiful experience.
“The water laser display will provide visitors to Mahakumbh an alluring and breathtakingly beautiful experience. The audience will see a unique fusion of contemporary technology and spirituality in this production, which is embellished with a stunning blend of light and water, adding to Mahakumbh’s majesty,” the statement said.
Over 45 crore devotees are anticipated for the celebration of the Mahakumbh, which is being held after a 12-year hiatus.
Devotees will assemble at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge, to take a sacred bath during the Mahakumbh.
On February 26, the Mahakumbh will come to an end.
On January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami), the Kumbh’s principal bathing ceremonies (Shahi Snan) will be held.
