Miley Cyrus has voiced her empathy for those impacted by the devastating wildfires currently sweeping through Los Angeles. Reflecting on her personal experience of losing her Malibu home in the 2018 Woolsey fires, the singer took to social media to connect with and comfort those facing similar heartbreak.

On Saturday, shared a note on social media, accompanied by an emotional photo of her destroyed Malibu residence. She wrote, “This is a photo taken of my front porch in 2018 after losing our house in the Woolsey fires. It’s a feeling you don’t ever forget. Walking up to the door you would pass through daily; looking forward to being greeted by the ones you love like you always do but instead being met by a pile of ash and rubble.”

The singer further expressed her sorrow, stating, “My soul aches for those who are experiencing this devastation firsthand and I cry for my city. It’s beyond heartbreaking. Los Angeles represents ‘living the dream,’ but the reality today is wreckage and destruction.” Cyrus concluded her heartfelt message by emphasizing the importance of collective healing. “Time, resources, and dedication from inside and outside of our community will heal us, but it hurts deeply for now… Love always, Miley .”

In her post, the singer also shared links to organizations aiding wildfire relief efforts, including the Malibu Foundation , which she co-founded in 2018 following the Woolsey fires. The foundation focuses on rebuilding communities and providing support to those affected by natural disasters.

Celebrities, including Dua Lipa , Paris Hilton , Denise Crosby, and Milo Ventimiglia, have also faced devastating losses as the fires consumed their properties. James Bourne, another LA resident, recently evacuated his home as flames threatened the area. The situation in Los Angeles remains critical, with the fire continuing to spread to new neighbourhoods.
