New Delhi. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) annually releases an Emergency Watch List, which identifies countries most at risk of experiencing humanitarian crises. Let us know what is the situation in these countries this year.

1. Sudan- The civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the country has created a severe humanitarian crisis. The crisis in the country is increasing due to issues like sexual violence, recruitment of child soldiers and attacks on civilians.

2. Myanmar – Violence and instability have increased in Myanmar since military rule in 2021. Millions of people have been displaced due to conflict between rebel groups and the government. Natural disasters like cyclones and floods are making the situation worse.

3. Syria- The Syrian conflict began in 2011 and is now in its 14th year. The government of Bashar al-Assad has been overthrown by rebel groups. More than 13.8 million people are displaced in the country.

4. South Sudan- South Sudan is struggling with problems like conflict, political instability and floods.

5.Lebanon- The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon has displaced more than 1.4 million people.

6. Somalia- Al-Shabaab attacks in Somalia have further destabilized the country. The country is struggling to recover from a severe drought in 2021-2023, which has led to rising cases of hunger and malnutrition.

7. Yemen- The civil war going on in Yemen since 2015 has put the country in dire crisis. The situation has been worsened by famine, disease and infrastructure collapse.

8. Ukraine- Ukraine has been fighting a war with Russia for the last two and a half years. During this period lakhs of his soldiers have been killed. Because of this, going to Ukraine in the year 2025 is no less than losing one's life.

9. Israel – Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October 2023, after which war broke out between the two sides. It has become one of the most serious crises in the Middle East, killing thousands of people and causing massive destruction. According to the report, travel to these countries including Israel is full of risks.
