Kho Kho World Cup 2025 Full Schedule: On Monday, the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi will host the opening of the men’s and women’s competitions for the Kho Kho World Cup 2025. Supported by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), the competition will include 19 women’s and 20 men’s teams from across the world. The Indian women’s team is in Group A with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Malaysia, and the Republic of Korea, while the Indian men’s squad is in Group A with Nepal, Peru, Brazil, and Bhutan. Each group’s top two teams will go on to the quarterfinals.
After the opening ceremony, the Indian men’s team will play their first match against Nepal on Monday. Meanwhile, the women’s team will play their first match against South Korea on Tuesday.
Kho Kho made its debut in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, along with other native Indian sports like mallakhamb and kabaddi. The group stages of the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 will be followed by the knockout stages, and the finals are set for January 19.
On January 13, the Indian men’s squad will play Nepal to start their Kho Kho World Cup 2025 campaign. On January 14, they will play Brazil. After that, they will play Bhutan on January 16 and Peru on January 15. The quarterfinals will begin on January 17 if they qualify, while the semifinals will follow on January 18. January 19 is the date of the men’s team’s last game.
On January 14, the Indian women’s team will play South Korea to begin their competition. On January 15, they will play Iran, and on January 16, they will play Malaysia. The women’s squad will play their quarterfinals on January 17 and their semifinals on January 18. On January 19, the women’s competition final will take place.
