Women empowerment is promoted a lot in the country by the Government of India. The government makes many efforts to increase the participation of women in the society. Different types of schemes are also run for them.

Not only the central government, but the governments of different states of India also bring different types of schemes for the women of their state. Recently, Subhadra Yojana has been started for women by the Odisha government.

Under this scheme, there is a provision to give Rs 10 thousand every year to the women of the state. Women get the benefit of this scheme from the Odisha government. The purpose of this scheme is to make women empowered and self-reliant in Odisha.

The Odisha government launched this scheme on 17 December 2024 i.e. the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this scheme, the Odisha government gives Rs 10 to women in a year. Which is given in two installments of five thousand each.

The eligibility criteria for the Subhadra scheme have been fixed by the Odisha government. Women get benefits only under that. According to the scheme, women from 21 to 60 years of age get benefits under the scheme. However, not all women get it.

Women who are ration card holders under the National Food Security Act or the State Food Security Act. Only they get benefits in this scheme. Apart from this, to avail the benefits of the scheme, the family income of women should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.

Application can be made in the scheme both online and offline. For online, one has to go to the Subhadra portal. Whereas for offline, applications can be given by going to the Anganwadi Center and Urban Local Body Office or Common Service Center.
