If Congress comes to power in the upcoming elections to be held in Delhi, then unemployed but educated youth will get financial help for about a year. After the two schemes were announced on January 1, Congress launched another scheme called “Yuva Udaan Yojana”. Under this scheme, if the party comes to power, then the unemployed but educated youth of Delhi will get Rs 8,500 for about a year.

However, the benefit of this scheme will not be available to unemployed educated youth who are sitting at home. According to Hindustan Times, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said, “We will provide financial assistance to those youth who can demonstrate their skills in a company, factory or organization. They will get money through these companies. This is not a scheme under which money will be given while sitting at home.”

He said, “We will ensure that people are involved in the areas where they have received training so that they can enhance their skills.”

On January 6, Congress launched the “Pyaari Didi Yojana”, promising to give Rs 2,500 per month if it wins the Delhi elections. On January 8, it also announced the “Jeevan Raksha Yojana”, under which free health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh will be given. Voting for the 70-seat Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8.

In the last two elections, the AAP won a majority with 67 and 62 seats in 2015 and 2020, while the Bharatiya Janata Party finished second. However, the Congress did not win any seats in those elections. The Congress has not been in power in Delhi since December 2013, when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power.
