International devotees praise the authorities for organizing the Maha Kumbh Mela and show gratitude for the chance to participate in the festivities as pilgrims from India and other countries continue to arrive.
Greek immigrant Penelope told ANI, “I began doing yoga approximately 20 years ago, but at the time, there wasn’t much social media, so I didn’t know about Maha Kumbh. This is my first time, then.
“It’s my first time, and I think I’ve created some good karma in the past,” she stated with tremendous joy. This was the first time I had ever experienced it. I must admit that the population of the nation from which I am from is, to put it simply, five times that of the country from which I am from. There are a lot of people here, but it’s also quite celebratory, colorful, and delightful to be here, and the security and all the preparations are fantastic. Thus, it’s a very unique and distinctive experience.
One Nepalese devotee said, “Har Har Mahadev! I want to say that the government has performed well. Because it is a holy bath, this time the bath is really special. I’m thrilled to be here. The arrangement is excellent.
“I feel that it’s very peaceful even with a lot of people… it is pulsing,” remarked another devotee who traveled from Belgium. We are well aware of the Kumbh Mela. Being here makes me really pleased, and I feel like I’m doing well.”
On the day of Makar Sankranti, devotees participating in Amrti Snan are showered with flower petals.
During the first ‘Amrit Snan’ of Maha Kumbh 2025 on Tuesday, around 20 million devotees have already taken a holy plunge in the Sangam, Amrit Abhijat, Uttar Pradesh principal secretary, urban development, said ANI.
