Cyber ​​fraud cases increased after COVID

Cyber ​​crime cases have increased in the last few years. Giving NCRB data, Amit Dubey says that before Covid, 500-700 cyber crime cases were registered daily, but now this number has increased to 30,000 to 40,000. This means that the network of cyber criminals is expanding rapidly, and people are becoming its victims.

If you have been cyber cheated, then first of all you should file a complaint immediately. Even after filing a complaint on the cyber crime portal, in 99 percent of the cases the money is not returned.

If you complain within half an hour or 1 hour of being cheated, your chances of getting your money back increase. For this you can call 1930 cyber crime helpline or lodge a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in portal.

The Cyber ​​Crime Helpline of the Home Ministry can freeze any suspicious bank account for 48 hours. With this, the defrauded money can be blocked, thereby maintaining the possibility of getting the money back.

What to do in case of bank fraud?

If someone is transferring money to your bank account, then you do not need to do anything. In the lure of giving money, cyber criminals send you a phishing link, on clicking which money is withdrawn from your account.

You should avoid clicking on any link. One should never fall into the trap. Also, children should take special care while playing online games, because they can also become victims of cyber fraud. During online gaming, cyber hackers carry out scams through children.
