Sonu Sood Spills The Beans On 'Dabangg' & 'Munni Badnam'

Bollywood is all about drama and revelations, isn't it? Sonu Sood recently made some shocking claims about the Salman Khan starrer, Dabangg that left fans truly amazed. Dabangg is a blockbuster cop franchise, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Mahesh Manjarekar and Arbaaz Khan alongside Salman and Sonu. The Fateh actor had earlier revealed that he had initially turned down the offer to do Chhedi Singh's role in the cop drama, however, he later agreed to do it after requesting changes in his role.
In a recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra on the latter's YouTube channel, Sood spilled more beans regarding the film. He said, "Abhinav Kashyap, Dabangg's director, assisted Mani Ratnam earlier and that is how we became friends. He shared with me that he's writing a cop story about a cop named Chulbul and we (Abhay and Sonu) will do it together." The philanthropist then revealed that Arbaaz met Sinha and told the latter that in the story and wanted to do the film. Anubhav narrated the film to the superstar and a few days later Salman's message popped up on Anuhav's phone saying 'yes'.
Sonu then disclosed details of his role as the antagonist, Chhedi Singh in the cop drama. He stated, "Abhinav asked me if I wanted to do the antagonist's role, however, I turned him down. Many people including Arbaaz bhai tried to convince me to do the role but I just couldn't understand the character. The director and producer of the film kept searching for people but they were convinced that nobody would be able to pull off the character except me. Later, I asked Abhinav to twist the role and write again, then we'll see." Sonu also revealed that he insisted on having a separate song in the film as well, particularly an item song.

Sonu further stated, "Abhinav came to me one fine day with good and bad news. The good news was related to one of the scenes in the film while the bad news was about Salman doing Munni Badnam. I said 'It's my song, how can he come in between like that', I was told that he would do it through a raid scene. I told them it was wrong, I had only one song." Sood also highlighted how the song turned out to be a blockbuster and people still remember it.
Sonu Shares His Diet Regimen

In an interview with Jist, Sonu shared that he has eliminated rotis from his diet. He said, "I am a vegetarian. My diet is very boring. Whenever someone comes home, they say that I eat hospital food." He revealed that he has . He shared, "I have stopped eating chapatis. In the afternoon, I eat a small bowl of dal and rice. For breakfast, I eat an egg-white omelette, salad, avocado, sauteed veggies or papaya. But yes, I don't cheat on my diet. I eat makke ki roti sometimes, but only once in a while." Well, that's a tough diet to follow!
