Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to star in filmmaker Karan Johar's romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The makers announced the film last month, leaving fans excited. Now, as per the latest update, the film will have cameos of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actors. Yes, you read that right.

According to a report in MidDay, Karan is toying with the idea of introducing Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin in the film. They are expected to revive their characters in Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri as the makers are trying to explore cinematic crossovers.

The report also mentioned that actress Sharvari is expected to feature alongside Kartik as the female lead in the film. However, the makers have not made any announcement regarding the supporting cast, female lead or special cameos yet.

It may be mentioned that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani recently re-released in theatres and it received a great response from the audience.

Meanwhile, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri will finally mark the maiden collaboration between Kartik and Karan. As per the announcement made on December 25, 2024, the film will be directed by Sameer Vidwans, who earlier helmed Kartik and Kiara Advani's Satyaprem Ki Katha.

In 2019, it was announced that Kartik and Karan would work together on Dostana 2, a sequel to the 2008 hit Dostana. However, two years later, the makers said they will be recasting for the movie amid rumours about differences between the producer and the actor.

Kartik and Karan's rumoured fallout

In an interview, Kartik Aaryan had once opened up about his exit from Dostana 2, which also starred Janhvi Kapoor. The film began shooting in late 2019 but faced delays due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

Addressing rumours of a fallout with Karan, Kartik had explained on Aap Ki Adaalat that a 1.5-year gap and script changes led to his exit. He dismissed claims of unprofessionalism or demanding more money, calling them 'Chinese whispers.'
